Jun. 8th, 2009 01:41 pmFinished with lab work for the day - totally burnt out and wishing Excel were more like SPSS. Does anybody who has more experience in Excel know if you can label variables likes you can in SPSS (specifying what one number means if it's categorical, stuff like that) not in the column header? We're importing this stuff into SPSS once I get it all cleaned up, but cleaning it up would be much easier if I could do that. :<
Waiting on my ride, so in the meantime, I'm going to make a list of things to do tonight, before I let myself play more Sims 3. XD
+ Sew Sati veil
+ Finish painting Sati crown
+ Sew up Sati head covering - 75%
+ Sew pintucks on black blouse
+ Zigzag stitch edges of pintucked pannel
+ Edge pintuck panel with zipper detail
+ Zigzag stitch all other black blouse pieces
+ Finish beading last two hem scales
+ Attach last five hem scales
The last can be done WHILE playing, too. Also, I need to get started on sewing up the non-lined scales for the rest of the dress, which means I need to finish cutting them out, first.
I've decided that, if push comes to shove, as long as I have the collar, cuffs, and hem done in the scales for Sati for Otakon, I'll be okay. So more important will be working on the crown and belt and getting what I do have looking nice and finished.
Adele embroidery will be worked on from Wednesday-Sunday, since I get to spend a long weekend at home (only one more lab day, tomorrow, this week). So, embroidery, any Sati beading, potentially some work on the belt, and HOLY SHIT cleaning the basement. Stacey made a huge dump run and so I have a lot more space to work in. I need to go through everything on my mom's old shelves and clear that off, and then I can wipe down and vacuum EVERYTHING in my work room.
Also, part 4 of Negative Confessions is about a third done. Once I get it finished and part 2 edited, part 2 will be posted. :)

May. 10th, 2009 12:10 pmI'm determined to get my two rooms (bedroom and sewing room) cleaned and organized by, hopefully, tomorrow. I'm waiting on Dad and Stacey to bring home some space bags for my college bedding, and since they're making it hard to clean up the last bits of trash from the room, I'm taking a break. Later today I'll organize what I've decided to keep and sort costume pieces. Time to have an efficient costume storage system!
Tomorrow is the sewing room, which may actually take two days. I'm going to clean up everything and then organize my sewing things. At the very least, I HAVE to do this before I'll let myself sew my Otakon costumes or doll clothing, so there's a good motivator.
I feel pretty good, all things told. I went through the clothing in my drawers (AKA stuff I haven't worn all year) and donated most of it, so I can actually put my clothing away once I wash it.
Now, for a snack and some TV. :)
