Aug. 31st, 2008 02:57 pmCollege is amazing, you guys. I still ADORE it. Hardcore.
I've made very nice friends, done very fun things, met a very lovely boy, and have AMAZING books for class.
For Proper Ladies, we're currently reading Virginia Woolf's A Room of One's Own. It's been slow going, since I'm still hyper and distracted AND I'm annotating the shit out of it, but it's so interesting to read. I love semi stream-of-consciousness arguments. :) And I love her writing style.
For Intro to Sociology, we're reading The Forest and the Trees, and while I think the author uses TOO many examples, they're all wonderful and the book just flows and reinforces intself. So gooooood.
For Intro to Drama, we're reading... well, Poetics, which is okay, but the class itself rocks.
And for Psych! Our text-book is AMAZING. It explains from the beginning a lot of psychological thinking errors (hindsight bias, paradolia, etc) and the writer is ridiculous. :) Psychoceramics - the study of crackpots. Written on April Fool's Day and included in the final edition (with a footnote).
Back to work!
