So! Here's my schedule for the semester:

MWF

PSYC 101 - Intro to Psych: Basic Processes - 10:10 AM - 11:00 PM
SOCY 101 - Individual Experience and the Social World - 3:10 PM - 4:00 PM


TR

ENGL 210 - Proper Ladies and Women Writers - 9:40 AM - 11:00 AM (OMG PROFESSOR HEIDT. LOVE HER.)
DRAM 111 - Introduction to the Theater - 1:10 PM - 2:30 PM


So excited! Classes start tomorrow, and I'm so attending Heidt's class in Neo-Victorian garb. Just to see what she does.

A lot of colleges screw over first-years with a lot of mandatory/core courses that have morning sections and give priority to seniors and/or upperclassmen who need to backfill requirements. Lots of 8:00 MWF classes. 9:40 ain't bad, you can sleep in every day if you wanna.

There are no actual mandatory classes, really. :) And we have no classes before 9 AM. Awesome college!

You ought to see mine 7 classes and 21 credits WTF?!?!

Still 5 of those classes are 1/2 block classes So I'll really only have 4 to start with and 5 to end. The things I do so I can finish this darn degree without taking another year.

Enjoy the theater class, and I know the Proper Ladies and Women Writers sounds interesting. We had a similar class at my first college and I wanted to take it, but the professor was an ultra-feminist... Any guys who dared take the class were, well, abused. I voted against making myself a walking target for abuse. :P

It sounds so easy...

When I was an undergrad, we had to take 6 mandatory courses. Add in the electives if we chose (I took Japanese for a little while) and our days were packed. I remember my schedule being like 8am to 6pm with a half hour lunch squeezed in somewhere...

We can only take four courses a semester, and with the amount of reading in each, that's a good thing. They WANT us to have normal social lives here, so they try to give us SOME free time. :)

wow. sounds like you are going to have a fabulous time there and not spend all your time running to 7:45am classes wearing last weeks dirty laundry and doing homework at 2am. please do keep us posted on how the english class goes. it sounds wonderful! (post office, i swear this week, really!)
